Living pHure - Living pHure

What is Living pHure?

Living pHure, as presented in this website, is a concept regarding nutritional guidelines which can and will allow anyone to take control of his or her long-term health and well-being. This “approach” may be called a strategy, a roadmap, or simply sound nutritional advice. Some have called it a pH protocol. Yet, in a broader context Living pHure is a dietary lifestyle which insures one a “common sense” foundation for optimal health.

The concept, itself, is basic and addresses the two most essential needs of our body – needs that we must recognize as essential to optimal health. The first of these needs is the need for adequate, if not optimal hydration while the second of these is the need for proper alkaline blood and tissue pH. These two principles are not mutually exclusive of one another and work in tandem to regulate proper body function and efficiency.

Why this Approach?

Consider that your body is 70% water while your blood, in the ideal, is over 90% water – and that the water within our bodies is not simply a carrier or means of transport for solutes of the body – but also regulates many bodily functions including the activity of a great number of the solutes it dissolves and circulates. Water, in fact, has an essential hydrolytic role in all aspects of body metabolism including brain and endocrine function. In addition, all functions of body metabolism including those of proteins and enzymes operate more efficiently in solutions of lower viscosity (thickness) – that is in a hydrated, pH balanced (alkaline) environment. (See Types of Water)

Equally important for optimal health is proper blood and tissue pH. While this concept is foreign to most health professionals, it is my experience that this is the single most important health factor when applied as a baseline for our nutritional as well as supplemental needs. Blood and tissue pH can be measured as the alkaline / acidic ratio that exists within the cells of the body’s blood and tissue. This relationship reflects balance (or imbalance) and affects all bodily functions concerning proper cell nutrition, detoxification, regeneration, and communication. It is the essential component in allowing the blood to remain “clean”, insuring that our auto-immune system remains in an optimal state of readiness and response. In addition, it is key in not allowing inflammatory conditions to set up within various system and / or organs of the body.

Within the text of this website, I will explain to you why these two factors are so important in attaining as well as maintaining uncompromising health for years to come. (See Microbiology)
